রাষ্ট্রপতি রামনাথ কোবিন্দ দিল্লির নবনির্বাচিত রাষ্ট্রপতি ভবনে 112 জন মহিলা/নারীকে সম্মানিত করেছেন (The President of India to felicitate exceptional women achievers at Rashtrapati Bhawan)। এই মহিলা/নারীরা ‘ব্যতিক্রমী মহিলাদের’ মধ্যে চিহ্নিত করা হয়েছে, যারা তাদের নিজ নিজ বিভিন্ন ক্ষেত্রে কৃতিত্বের মাইলফলক স্থাপনকারী প্রথম ভারতীয় মহিলা বা নারী। মহিলা ও শিশু উন্নয়ন মন্ত্রক (The Minister for Women and Child Development বা WCD) কর্তৃক একটি ব্যাপক গবেষণা প্রক্রিয়ার পরে 112 জন নারীকে নির্বাচিত করেছেন।

মহিলা ও শিশু উন্নয়ন মন্ত্রী শ্রীমতি মানেকা সঞ্জয় গান্ধী বলেন“Keeping up with the solemn spirit of Empowered Nari, the Ministry conceptualised ‘First Ladies’. These First Ladies rose through barriers, standards and oppressive notions to become the first women to excel in the fields which were thought to be beyond them”

প্রাথমিক ভাবে ২২৭ জন নারীকে তালিকাভুক্ত করা হয়েছিল বিভিন্ন সূত্রের মাধ্যমে, যেমন- প্রতিরক্ষা মন্ত্রণালয়, ক্রীড়া মন্ত্রণালয়, লিমকা বুক অব রেকর্ডস, প্রেস ক্লিপিং, ফেসবুক, ইন্টারনেট ইত্যাদি। এদের মধ্যে মহিলা ও শিশু উন্নয়ন মন্ত্রী শ্রীমতি মানেকা সঞ্জয় গান্ধী ও নির্বাচিত বিচারকদের একটি সম্মানিত প্যানেলের সাথে 112 জন অসাধারণ মহিলা/নারীর নাম চূড়ান্ত করা হয়েছে।

চিত্রে ১১২ জন নারীর সাথে মাননীয় রাষ্ট্রপতিকে দেখতে পাচ্ছেন

৮ মার্চ WCD বা মহিলা ও শিশু উন্নয়ন মন্ত্রক এনাদের কে ‘নারী শক্তি পুরস্কারে’ সন্মানিত করছেন, যারা সমাজ তথা দেশের প্রতি অবদান রেখেছেন কিন্তু কোনো কারণে অজানা রয়ে গেছে। এদেরকে সকল দেশ বাসীর কাছে তুলে ধরাই হল মূল উদ্দেশ্য, এর সাথে সাথে সকল নারী সমাজকে সামনের সারীতে নিয়ে আশার একটি প্রচেষ্টা।

 

১১২ জন মহিলা/নারীদের মধ্যে কে কোন ক্ষেত্রে এই সম্মান পেলেন, তার তালিকা দেওয়া হল-
